Curran-Jones Funeral Home - West Springfield Obituary

Robert “Bruce” Simpson, Sr., 81, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at home.  Born in Holyoke, son of the late John and Barbara (Mitchell) Simpson, he was a 1960 graduate of West Springfield High School.  Bruce was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War serving for ten years.  He then worked for Verizon for thirty-one years, before his retirement in 2001. He was also an avid Harley enthusiast, and was the historian for the Harley Club that was in Easthampton.  He was predeceased by a daughter, Kelly Frances Simpson on May 22, 2023. He leaves his wife of forty-six years, Ann Maureen (Pendergast) Simpson, a son, Robert B. Simpson, Jr., of Westfield, two sisters, Virginia Leap of Florida, Judith Simpson of West Springfield, a nephew, Kevin Leap, and several cousins.  All services are private and the West Springfield Curran Jones Funeral Home is in charge.

I am so very sorry for the loss of your best friend of so many years, not to mention the passing of your Daughter Kelly just a few months ago.
