Robert "Bob" Simpson

My sincere condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Simpson. Bob was a tremendous supporter and friend of the CMU Biological Station, and he is fondly remembered for his kindness and generosity. As the relatively new director of the station, I feel very fortunate to have gotten to spend some time with Bob last summer. Bob was the longtime captain of the station's research vessels, and I've attached some photos of him in action circa late 1970s, courtesy of Dr. James Gillingham.

Dear Family of Mr. Simpson: I never had the pleasure of meeting Bob, but I have had the greatest extreme pleasure of meeting his amazing granddaughter Jillian. Her love of Mother Nature and the appreciation of a beautiful place called Earth, I can only imagine his huge smile looking down on her!! Prayers for your entire family and sincere condolences for your loss. God's peace and strength in your days ahead. Love you Jillian (Mama Mary)

Many good memories of "Bio Bob" Simpson in Biology classes at Douglas McArthur High School. He was a great teacher, while making it fun. Always had a smile. It was a pleasure to know him.

Rest Easy Mr. Simpson

So sorry to hear of Bobs passing. He had active, full life with many friends, You had a wonderful life with him, We were happy to shre many moments with him and you both in Michigan and The Villages. Gods blessings and strength as you live life without him. J AND D
