Robert Sinex

Bob was my management training mentor which meant we would meet every week for a while to discuss such stimulating topics as LIFO vs FIFO. He was known to us then as Iron Bob and everyone used to joke that he had blank signed pink slips in his pocket at all times. Bob was a tough guy but also very fair and did possess a sense of humor. He was a really good man and we're all better for having known and served with him.

I started with Seattle Trust in 7/72. Bob was one of three of four people that interviewed me. I had a mustache at the time. I do not remember the exact words, but he asked something like was the mustache a permant thing. Of course as a college graduate wantin a job, I said no. He proceeded to say that his son had a beard and he wasn't against it, but was curious. I went home and shaved the mustache. Two days later (without knowledge that I had shaved) I was hired!
