Not sure what to say?

A good friend and wood working partner will be missed forever.

I will always remember Bob Slaby as a teacher that MATTERED to me and to many others. I do hope that in his life he knew how many people he inspired, guided, counseled and challenged.

In my personal life, I can say that Mr. Slaby once carried me to a safe place in a time of need. That's not a metaphor--it's just something that he, as a neighbor and a family friend, actually did when it needed to be done.

I've thought of him often over the years. I miss him now. But I...

I will always remember that Mr. Slaby was a kind, patient and encouraging teacher. He helped to make the difficult high school years better and brighter for me. His work definitely impacted my life for the better. Thank you Mr. Slaby! Class of '78

I had Mr Slaby for a creative writing class at Lincoln High school. I looked forward to his class everyday! He was a great teacher who helped build my confidence. Sorry for your loss.

Joan - I am so sorry to hear about Bob. I'm sure Bill was there to greet him and they are probably reminiscing now about the "good ole days" at Wis. Rapids. We had many good years together there. Take care,

My heart breaks not for those whose lives he was a part of, but for those whose lives he wasn't. We were the lucky ones.

Mr. Slaby, you made a person feel that what they created was of some worth. All those memories of what a great teacher you were came flooding back along with grief and melancholy. I should have listened better, but now I doubt I will forget since your death is now the same date as my birthday. I wish I would have kept in touch, I'm sure many former students feel the same. A sad day indeed.

Our thoughts are with you Colin your and family during these challenging times.

Mr Slaby was my teacher at Lincoln High School - I have many fond memories of him and his class!! Prayers out to the family for your loss!!
