Not sure what to say?

What was not to love? The man was an amazing human being. A kind, giving loving heart. He left his foot prints on the hearts of many.

Thank you Dr Slavens. You were fantastic and will be sorely missed. Thanks for fixing my eye when I was 5, it still works.

So sorry to hear about Dr Slavens passing. Such a wonderful kind man. He operated on my son´s eye when he had an eye Turing in slightly. My mom, son, and I of course went to him. He was so good with my Mom. Such a sweet man. I miss having him for my eye doctor. Never enough time! Rip dear Doctor.

I am so sad to read of Dr. Slaven´s passing. My mother, husband, daughter and I were all patients of this lovely man. I send my sincere sympathy to his family and will always remember remember his kindness and gentle manner.

Grove of 100 Memorial Trees

I have such fond memories of Dr. Slavens from my childhood. My stepmother (Sue Bartolomeo) worked for him for nearly 20 years. Summer office gatherings at local parks (Green Lakes, etc) were always fun. He was a wonderful man who left a lasting impression & will be missed. With my deepest sympathies ~

Dr Slavens was my eye doctor until I moved to Florida and he was wonderful! I wished he moved with me! What a wonderful doctor and he was so friendly and personable I looked forward to my appointments. May he Rest In Peace and my condolences to his family. ( I loved reading his personal life journey in his obit).

Dear Family of a Very Dear Doctor, How especially blessed you were and now with fond memories you surely are. Always did so admire his wonderfully fine manner. He allowed his talents to so generously be shared and my eyes always were touched by years of his care. Please know of my most respectful sentiments and those of my wife Barbara and son Fritz. Sincerely, Anton F. "Tony" Kreuzer

Dr. Slavens was a sweet kind gentleman. I always enjoyed his humor and gentle demeanor. He was wonderful with his patients. Working in the same building for many years. We often walked in together he was always quick to say good morning and hold the door for me. I will miss him.
