Jody & Bob dating years in Galveston, TX - 1960

Dear Jody and family,
What a joy you and Bob have brought to us over many years. We always enjoyed our visits and remember the special attention you devoted to our transactions. Thank you for your friendship and guidance. May you have peace and happiness in the knowledge that each of you made such a positive difference in the lives you have touched.

So sorry to hear that we have loss a kind man, and who was a great teacher. I hope that the Slaydon family find comfort knowing that Bob touched many lives and always dealt with his clients in the highest level of professionalism.

Jody and Susan,

I am so saddened by your loss and pray that you all find peace knowing that he is in heaven. We have all lost a beautiful person but he will live on in our memories and hearts.

Jody and girls
We are so sorry for your loss but know that Bob is no longer suffering and meeting many past clients in his heavenly home. Jeff and I have many fond memories and beautiful gems to remember him. Love to All.

Jody, may you be surrounded by family, sweet memories and God's comforting arms. I enjoyed visiting with you and Bob, not only in the store, but later at the Vogel Center. Your love for each other was so evident and our hearts break for your loss!

Bob was my Jeweler and friend for decades; from our first meeting I knew we would be friends for life, sadly, that was too short a time. With full confidence in his word, we did business and often shared our hearts, minds and laughter as we solved the problems of the world in long and wonderful conversations. His handshake, mischievous smile and his counsel will be sorely

When my then fiance and I went to Bob to select and engagement ring, he first required us to spend over an hour under his tutalege, learning to understand and appreciate a diamond. That respect of the stone, it's history and the artistry required to show it's beauty was almost a form of marriage counseling in and of itself. This was no small thing to commit to...as was a relationship with him and Jody. I will always think of him behind his desk, eyes alight with the joy he found in sharing...

God's gift,in His Plan for me, I know, includes many special people He purposely sent my way! Thank you Heavenly Father for sending Bob my way!
