When I first came to Wilson as a young teacher in the mid 1970´s, I was advised by colleagues to go to Dr. Sloop for my eye exams and glasses prescriptions. I did and continued under his care for many years until his retirement. He always made me feel like he had a deep interest in my well-being. He listened more than he talked.
