Robert Nelson Smiley

Just learned of Bob's passing. He was a good friend. Sharrin, KARON, Bob and I had some great times together. I'm sure KARON and Bob are playing bridge as I type this.

I have just learned of Bob's passing and extend my sympathy to you and your family. I too, graduated from SRHS with Bob in 1956. We were delighted to get to see him at a reunion several years ago, but could see that he was struggling with health issues. Bob was smart, friendly, athletic and good looking and very popular with the girls - including this one!

Bob was one of the town kids. He always excelled in all that he did.

Bob and I were friends and played basketball from fourth grade through our senior year at SRHS. Only got to see him once at a class reunion.

Bob and I were in the class of 1956 at SRHS.
since there were only 85 + or - in our class, we were in most things together. We didn't keep up after graduation, but I have vivid memories of his atheletic skills and academic abilities. He was definitely a leader.

Sherren and family, Bob was a great freiend and mentor to me when I began working at Vulcan. He taught me about business and sales. I will always remember the good times we had working for Vulcan.
