Robert Russell "Bob" Smith

Mystic - Robert Russell "Bob" Smith, 85, of Jerry Browne Road, Mystic, formerly of Gales Ferry, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2013, at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital in New London.

Mr. Smith was born on Feb. 28, 1928, in Norwich, the son of the late F. Russell and Clara (Hall) Smith. Bob was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War and for over 30 years had worked as a sales professional for Mallon Chevrolet in Norwich.

He was married in Gales Ferry, on Sept. 3, 1955, to the former Gertrude E. Boer Lawson.

Byles-Groton Memorial Home, 310 Thames St., is assisting his family with the arrangements which are incomplete at this time.
