Trinity at Harrison Funeral Home - Harlingen Obituary

“I’ve lived a life that’s full. I've traveled each and every highway. And more, much more I did it my way.”

11/28/1939 - 09/04/2022

Robert “Bob” Smith was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandpa and friend. He lived a long and joyous life next to his wife, Mireya Smith, whom he spent the last 26 years with. He leaves behind his brother Lee Smith, his children Elva, Nora, Julio, Abraham and Mia along with grandchildren Robert, Mireya, Jaylah, Raiden, Julius, Jean Claude, Jessica, Birty, Ethan, Sophia, Liam, Jesus, Lailani, Ronaldo, and Andre.

Bob Smith served 20 years and retired as a Master Sergeant from the Airforce. From there he went on to be the Municipal Manager for the city of Anchorage, AK where he also retired. Shortly after he came to Texas where he worked as an insurance agent for Mutual Of Omaha.

He did everything with a heart full of love and passion for his family. He always encouraged people to be the best they could be and loved people wholeheartedly. He instilled humanity, values and the love of reading and learning but most importantly he showed us how to love without limits.

His family and friends will always miss him, but he loved us all so well that we have nothing but happy memories of the greatest man we’ve ever known.
