I'm sorry, but I have no answers for you. I have lost touch with Francine, his ex-wife...they were married in the 60's or 70's. My husband, Chuck, was in the wedding party. (Chuck Shannon died in 1988.) The dogs were a familiar sight on Lake Marion, swimming behind Bob's boat, or running behind his car. But I don't know what happened to them. And...I don't know the cause of Bob's death. He did have property on the lake...don't know about that, either. I guess I'm...

My family is sad to hear about Bob,he was my cousin. I named my 2nd son after Robert. William and Olga sohr were my parents.Gods blessings

Our paths crossed in the 70's & 80's...through tournament bridge, through camping & through time spent in the U.P. I met his folks twice (in WI) and truly enjoyed them. AND...I met his legendary dogs. I send my sympathy and that of my sons to his family/friends.

Just learned today of Bob's passing.Our family shared many experiences with "RT" at Marion Lake in Michigan's upper peninsula. Bob bought property across the Lake from my parents cottage and was a frequent visitor.My sincerest condolences to his family.
