A good man and a wonderful neighbor and friend on Wenonah in Oak Park. Done too soon.

I still think of Bob and his friendship and wisdom. You are missed.

To the Spahn family:

Every time I saw Bob at the agency or an event, he always took the time to share his wisdom with me or have a laugh or two. I know you will all miss him very much, but I hope his memory will always bring a smile to your faces. My deepest sympathy for your
loss.

Bob sold me my first NML policy when we met at a grill on Northwestern's campus where I was a student, around 1959. I could not imagine a finer intro to that company! A young man who already had it all together, radiating warmth, confidence, and knowledge of his mission. Bob wrote many other policies of various kinds for me over the years since then, as my family grew -- covering everything from kids' protection to our present long term care insurance!
