I was saddened to hear of Mr. Spicer's passing. I went to high school and played softball with his sons Bill, Tom, and Bob. Mr. Spicer was my Little League coach on the Scharringhausen drugstore team back in Park Ridge and he was always kind, encouraging, and positive -- and I was just one of the benchwarmers. Memories of Park Ridge and the Rose Avenue kids, moms and dads are something I fondly carry with me as an adult. Mr. Spicer helped to shape those memories. My heart goes out to you in your loss.
