Not sure what to say?

Dear Carolyn, Rob, and Family

My heart goes out to all of you for your loss. Bob was a great man who positively impacted the lives of many people in many different facets of life. I will be forever grateful for the time I spent with him and to those responsible for bringing Bob into my life. I've never enjoyed losing in golf but watching Bob hold his hand up high while awaiting the payment from my father's end of our friendly weekend wager is, was, and forever will be priceless. ...

I was so sorry to hear of Bobby's passing. My son, Heath Dowdy, and Robbie played sports together at Wm. Byrd and didn't know for a long time that I had gone to school with Bobby and Carolyn in Wythville and that Ronnie Spraker was one of my best friends growning up. Bobby was such a sweet person. He will be missed by many.

Dear Carolyn & Family
Dennis and I were shocked to hear of Bobby's passing. Bobby Archer called us today when he received word. Dennis has many times said that Bobby was his hero- they spent a lot of time together making memories when they were growing up. He loved Bobby very much. Dennis plans on calling you with the number that Bobby gave us today. You and your family are in our prayers. We love you all. Please call if you need us.

Dear Carolyn, I was sorry to learn of Bobby's death. I know exactly what you have been through because my husband has stage 4 prostate cancer and has had it for four years. He is just about home bound. My heart goes out to you and the rest of your family as you now face life without Bobby. I am sure you have mixed emotions...loss and yet not wanting him to suffer and be in pain anymore. I pray that you find comfort and strength through the power and grace of God who in His mercy will be...

Where does one start to tell the story of a friendship of almost 30 years? We met at the Holiday Inn on Franklin Road in Roanoke, December 1980. It's interesting how you remember such things. But, I am sure it was December because I can remember the Dining Room was decorated for Christmas. He had a firm handshake and always looked you in the eye to see if anyone was home and once he became friends with you to make sure you were O.K. He had that knack about people. Then summer of 1981 the...

Liz,
I was so sorry to hear about your father. Please accept my deepest condolences. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I remember your father fondly he was such a family man and truly loved his Bunky.

Spraker family,

I worked with Bob at CCI/Nationsline and was deeply saddened to hear the news. Bob was fun to work with, and also a great boss to have. Please accept my deepest sympathy!

My thoughts and prayers go out to Bob's family and closest friends. He was such a happy person and always had a great story to tell. We all miss him at the Kirkley Hotel. May God bless all of you in healing.
