Not sure what to say?

Bob changed my life. Very early in my teaching career in Mayfield, I received a surprise phone call one day from the Willoughby-Eastlake Schools asking me to serve as an Assistant Elementary Principal. I discovered later that Bob had been the one behind the recommendation. His kind and thoughtful act set me on a career path that I am still on today. My life, literally, would not have been the same without him and I will never forget that. Thank you, Bob. I will miss you!

You are the smartest superintendent I ever met. Our days in Mayfield had us dueling, but our lunches the last two years had us enjoying each others company and discussing the present, not the past. I am very happy we met again after so many years and I am sad that there will not be another lunch and the chance to talk. Our conversations were always thought provoking. You spent your life teaching others and we are all better off for it. Goodbye I can say to my friend.

Becky, my sincere condolences thinking of you. I pray God wraps his healing arms around you and you find peace in knowing that Bob is with him. Warmest regards.

So very saddened to hear if Bob´s passing. What a great guy. We so enjoyed our times together at Chautauqua & Florida. He always had great stories and jokes. Gary will also miss those great Manhattans he mixed. Truly a wonderful man who will be missed by many.

Bob was my first big romance when we were freshmen at Miami University and he was so interesting and fun; and memorable. We met again years later when he was at Mayfield school system and my sisters children were at those schools. He was definitely a special human being and we can all smile at his memory. Unforgettable.

We always loved seeing Bob's smiling face and up-beat attitude at our theater. He will be missed.

I am saddened to hear of Mr. Stabile's death. I had him as a 7th grade science teacher in Bedford City Schools in 1961-62 school year. It was one of my favorite classes with him being a favorite teacher. I will always remember his story about "the only trick I know sis". Thank you Mr. Stabile. I still have your portable typewriter, I may need it again.

I will miss Bob's openness, friendliness and humor. Rich Landen
