Not sure what to say?

I interviewed with Mr. Stamps for Swim coach position at Pearce around 1976. Someone with more experience was hired instead. He did not forget me though. I was teaching PE at Apollo Junior High when Mr. Stamps reached out to me to teach swimming at the new pool at Pearce. I was so excited. He was an amazing principal who was fair and supportive. I loved him and I wish he had been my principal the entire time I taught at Pearce. If I had known in time, I would have been at his service. ...

Memory Share My name is Ron Garon, I was a student at Richardson High School and should of graduated in 1972, I got a ged in 73. I will never forget Principal Bob Stamps, I greatly respected him even though I paid a few visits to his office for either long hair, mustache or sideburns Et All. The funniest thing I will ever remember and concerning Bob Stamps is the day I brought my ac/battery powered stereophonic radio 8 track player to school and set it on the open window at the " smoke hole...

I taught at Pearce 4 years and enjoyed the leadership and friendship Bob Stamps have to all of us. We need more teachers, administrators like Mr. Stamps.

Mr. Bob Stamps gave me a chance to get hired at Pearce. Unlike today, in 1977 teaching jobs were hard to land. I interviewed with him one year and remained in communication with him hoping to be hired for the following year. I was very young and had no experience, but he gave me a chance to return to teach at the school from which I had graduated. He was a kind person and an excellent administrator. I was proud to work under his direction. Condolences to all of his loved ones.

So sorry to hear of your loss. Me Stamps was an exceptional principal who gave me a great start at Westwood jr High teaching LLD! He was a leader who inspired and mentor who helped me establish great patterns in classroom management and teaching not only my subjects but the child. I was truly blessed to have had such a great start and the only problem was that he was an impossible act to follow ! Praying for you his family

Good man. Pleasure to have known Bob. We always had a grip contest on the hand shake. Sad to hear this. Another old Lake Highlands ex from the good old days.
