Not sure what to say?

Coach Stangel was one of the most influential men in my life. I to was saddened to learn of his passing. I played football for coach at MSJC in 82-83. Before the 83 season I decided I no longer wanted to play football and went to Texas to work construction so I wouldn't have to face coach Stangel, lol. Well coach called my mom in Banning to get my number and called me in Texas. Coach told me that there were several coaches from universities inquiring about me and I need to get back to MSJC...

Dear Bob and Debbie,
Your parents were wonderful people. I said a prayer for both of them today.

Thank you coach Stangel for giving me an opportunity to learn the game of football by hiring me as an assistant coach and showing me the ropes. I learned a great deal from you and the other coaches about football, life and being a man. RIP and my condolences to the Stangel family.

Today I thought about Coach Stangel so I looked him up on the internet and I was sad to find out that he had passed away I just wanted to say thank you to coach Stangel. I was a student at Mount San Jacinto junior college in 1991. I wasn't the most talented football player by far and even though the assistant coaches said I might hurt myself Coach Stangel allowed me to be on the football team. Now that I'm 48 years old it doesn't have the impact now that it did when I was young I remember...

I was a member of the 1975 MSJC Eagle Championship Football Team Coached by none other than Robert H. Stangel. I continue to live my personal life with principles and values he taught both on and off the field.Coach was always honest and straightforward as he treated his players and assistant coaches like we were his own family.I always admired his determination and will to win! Three Cheers for Coach Stangel! Blue!Blue! Hut!!! Your loss is also mine family...Bobby Jr.! Bless you and the rest...

Bob was an excellent example for young men. I had the pleasure of spending time with him and his family During his early Norte Dame coaching days, As my husband Ed McDermott was his assistant coach. His character as a family man was a great example for a young married couple, Thought of him and his Elaine often. May the LORD bless your family, rest in HIS arms.
