Not sure what to say?

I look back at 6th grade at Columbus with wonder, remembering the classroom and Mr. Stanish and lessons that have stayed with me despite forgetting endless other things. He was an extraordinary person and i feel fortunate.

Mr. Stanish was my sixth grade teacher at Columbus school. I was in the same class with Cherie and Lois. He was the best teacher we ever had. He taught us so much and by example also instilled many good values. He's one of the reasons I became a special education teacher. I send my condolences to the Stanish family on Bob's passing. I was a student at McKendree ('62) and I purchased a painting from him titled "The Juggler," that I still have. I often stopped by his painting class and discussed the painting with him while he was working on it.

He was a talented man

I knew Bob s brother Miles.

mr. stanish was my 6th grade teacher at Columbus . he was the best teacher I ever had and have thought of him often.

Mr. Stanish was my 6th grade teacher at Columbus - from the Vietnam War to non-Christian religions, I learned so much from that man that I still remember as a 60 yr old today - he made quite an impression on me, as I'm sure he did to countless other students over his teaching career. Thank you, Mr. Stanish.
