I had the great opportunity to work closly with Bob as his assistant at Chevrolet. Bob was a gentlmen and a very humble person. In all my dealings with him he never made you feel like he was the boss, only a business associate.

Barb, our prayer go out to you and your family.

Bob Starr

He was every employee’s trusted person, A neat Guy I made several trips with Bob on the Company Plane we had more cheese and crackers from Detroit to Washington and Oregon dealer meetings. We went to Hawaii with Barbara and my wife Marilyn. I was just thinking about him the other day. He was a good servant for God and Country.

Mrs Starr and Family. I pray for your strength and courage in the days that follow the passing of what must have been a great husband and father. I am a man who remembers Mr Starr for his great generosity. When I was young - I wanted to work for Chevrolet very badly in the late 1970's. Mr Starr told me that Chevrolet was not hiring at that time but to go get a bachelors degree - oh and to make sure I had good grades and then come back. I did just that with a young wife and 3 children in tow....

I remember Mr Starr back in the late 70's.
He was a true chevy blueblood and a great leader.
