Your loss is our loss because Bob was so involved and active in our Hawaiian and Polynesian culture and community.

He adopted and promoted so many of our values, our history, our diverse communities, our music and outrigger canoeing. Bob was very involved and supportive of our Polynesian cultures; Maori, Hawaiian, Tahitian, Tongan, etc.

I was saddened to read about Bob's passing. When I was part of your community he was always so generous to me and my Kahue family. My life was enriched knowing him for that short time. Blessings and Love to your entire family.

We were so privileged to have been touched by Uncle Bob's princely, exemplary, and gracious manner of life. He was an inspiration to anyone who met him and we are deeply saddened by his passing. We will always cherish our time with Uncle Bob in Fiji and New Zealand! Our deepest condolences and sympathy to all of you-

Laura: I didn't know your father but what a wonderful man he must have been to enable so many people to engage in the sport of outrigger canoe paddling and to encourage so many to share in his love of the sport and its rich traditions. It has changed my life and I have him to thank for offering me the opportunity. I am very sorry for your loss and my prayers will be with you and your family. Debby
