Not sure what to say?

That long wire across SYC yard pulling in some DX. The crew of Maccabee fondly remember this courageous sailor. Our special "Kosher Ham Radio" operator! We inscribe him in our annual Yahrzeit list at Temple Beth-El of City Island. Fair winds, Cheryl Yehudit & Bob Berent.

I have so many great memories of Bob sailing and racing on my boat. He just loved sailing. I know he is sailing in a regatta somewhere.

I think about Bob and remember all the time we spent sailing on Channallah my international tempest racing boat. He started as a novice quickly game skill and became a really good sailor. Keep the wind at your back Bob

Deepest condolences from our family to yours. I was always delighted to find Bob on the our ham radio repeater (where hams meet to chat). He was thoughtful, intelligent, and a pleasure to spend time with. Particularly special were those rare occasions when we got to see him in person. He will be greatly missed by many people.

I knew Bob thru sailing on each other's boats. He was also the Commodore of Stuyvesant Yacht Club at the same time that I was Commodore of City Island Yacht Club. We would have many conversations about how to solve the same problems at each club. It was rewarding. He will be missed. Happy sailing Bob. I hope you will send good wind for us.

Dear Dottie, Arthur, Carol, Peter, Cindy, Jon and Eric,
I was deeply saddened to hear of Bob's passing. I admired how bravely he battled the cancer over the years. I enjoyed many conversations about his sailing, ham radio and IT problem solving. He spoke of his work with the Boston marathon, sailing races, and many other events were he volunteered. Bob was a thoughtful intelligent man, was always so cheerful and I will miss those calls and will miss him.
With Deep Sympathy,
Cyndy Allen

I will miss chatting with Bob. He always had some good ham operator stories to tell and he was just a very nice man to know. I am sure he will be missed.

I remember Bob very well. He was a fellow "ham" and we shared friends and good times in the Amateur Radio "ham" community, including working at the Salute To Israel Parades in NYC among other community service projects. While we had been out of touch for awhile I was deeply saddened to hear of his passing.

May his memory be for a blessing,
Sharon Moseson, N2HGR
