Robert John Steinke

Sending our condolences to Robert's family from his cousin Edna Rose and husband Vic. I'm the last of all the cousins in the Steinke family generation now that Robert has passed away.

I have an addendum to add to my condolence for Robert Steinke. When I was a County Board Supervisor, before the motion was voted on, one of Robert's classic quotes was "Speak now or forever hold your peace" before the vote transpired. I always remember that quote reminds me of Robert.

Robert was a very dedicated public servent to the Town of Plover & Portage County , Wi. I served on the county board of supervisors with Robert from 1984 to 1988. It was an interesting and educational time for me to serve. I was sure impressed that he gave me the opportunity to give a presentation on the extension of I 39 from Rockford, Il to Wausau,Wi and the U.S. 10 Freeway/ expressway project from Appleton, Wi to Marshfield, Wi. Both projects that transpired and are a very valuable asset...

My condolences to you for your loss. Bob and Myrna have a special place in my heart from when I was just a young girl. My mom, Vivian Wogsland, would suggest to my dad, Walter, that we take a drive and we would just stop in and see if they were home. We had many good times. I particularly remember when Mom served as the pastor for a mock wedding carrying a Sears catalog as her Bible. The mock wedding was on the Steinke Farm and we had such fun.
