Great guy! We worked side by side at NJ Department of Corrections. GREAT GUY!

We never met, but I wish we would have. Rest in peace.

Wilma - So sorry to learn of Bob's passing. I have many happy memories of our time at Mid State. He was such a kind and caring man. Always with a smile and always elegant. I hope that happy memories will make you smile. Warmest wishes,
Barbara Nochumson

Thanks for being a part of my family life. You are going to be truly missed. The Dorch and Nelson Family

Deacon Stephens, you will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved you. Thank God for allowing our paths to cross at CVBC. You were the example that Christ wants us to be like. Your works will live long after you. Your deeds never forgotten. Well done my brother in Christ. Rest in Heaven.

You will be missed my Brother thru Christ

My Heatrfelt Sympathy goes out to You
And the Family. Our Love ❤ Ones don't go
away, they walk beside Us everyday.

You were definitely a rare jewel.....

Bob Stephens was a man for all seasons. He was a trail blazer in Law and Order, a New Jersey pioneer in prison reform, and, the first black man to open and become head of Northern State Prison. With a graduate degree in Social Work, and, Deacon in his church, there were few situations he could not handle. I shall always remember this gentle giant as a wonderful husband, father and friend to so many. May Almighty God grant eternal rest to his servant.
