Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry for your loss and know he will be missed. I am happy I had the chance to meet him.

We are saddened to lose a member of our Oaks of Louisiana family and hope that the memories of love and laughter shared bring you peace. While there are no words to ease the loss you bear, we send our sincere thoughts and prayers to your family.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family and I will always love Sonny and family. Tanne

To the Stinson Family, I am so sorry to hear of your loss of Mr. Sonny. Such a kind and jolly man. I was imprinted with the Stinson family kindness many years ago, when his Mother, Mrs. Catherine was my 2nd grade teacher at Belcher Elementary. I never forgot her, nor others in Belcher and Gillam, since so many were such good people. I still have family in Caddo parish that he touched more recently. A number of my family members have worked at Gilliam Service and Supply even to this day....

To Mrs. Stinson, Grey, Blake, Tommy, and other family members, I offer my condolences and sincere sympathy for the loss of your husband, father, and brother, Mr. Stinson. May your fond memories assuage his passing. Craig Windham

Grey, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your Dad! Praying for God's peace and comfort for your family in the days ahead!

Mr. Sonny brightened many of my mornings laughing and joking at the supply store! Awesome man...great memories! He is missed! Sorry for your loss! Herman Mitchell

The Final Salute

Brothers and Sisters-in-Arms, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged Hand Salutes as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.

This Hand Salute is the last that we shall render to Robert Arthur (Sonny) Stinson our Brother-in-Arms. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Sonny. To Sonny it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for...

We will always have wonderful memories of Sonny, especially his good humor and laughs, and we send him off with love and affection. He was a great guy!
