Not sure what to say?

I was sad and a little shocked to read in the Alameda County retiree newsletter that Robert has passed away. I truly enjoyed working with him at the Ag department. He was intelligent, charming and very funny with a dry sense of humor. Robert was sorely missed when he left Alameda County to go to SLO County. The San Luis Obispo Commissioner spoke very highly of him and it was certainly their gain of a great Ag Inspector and our loss. It is a little darker in the world without Robert's light...

Family and friends of Robert Stockel, We were privileged to have Robert as part of our lives. We will reflect upon his spirit when experiencing the wonder and awe nature provides, that gave so much meaning to his life. His professional counsel was invaluable along with a strong commitment to the greater good, and his story telling contributed to making this world a better place. And of course, his sense of humor always lightened the day. Richard and Christine Greek

I'm so sorry Robert has left us. He was a great storyteller, a wonderful colleague and a good friend to me. I miss you.

Robert was one of the most knowledgeable people I have met, not only for work related topics but for any topic. I used to call him a "walking encyclopedia." He was an extraordinary storyteller, combining real and non real events to add drama and humor. He loved his entire family, from nieces and nephews to his mom. Every time he talked about any of them, his face lit up. I will always remember Robert as a smart, super knowledgeable, a nature lover, emphatetic coworker and friend.
