Not sure what to say?

Rick and Vicki have been my best friends since I moved to Jacksonville almost 20 years ago. I will miss Rick everyday. He was the most honest, fun loving, caring and unselfish person I have ever known. Rick was always willing to help you know matter what. He never expected anything in return. Rick was a friend in every since of the word. So many people will miss his smiling face. He could light up a room when he smiled. Vicki, I am here for you no matter what, day or night. I love you, sis.

Dear Kevin, Robin and the entire Strait family:

Although, I've never had the honor of meeting Rick, Kevin has spoken so highly of him that I feel as if I've known him in some aspect. Kevin and I are Yankee friends and as his friend, I would like to extent my heartfelt condolences on your tragic loss.

May God bless you all and help you through this most difficult time.

We never met in this life. We'll meet at our Fathers house one day. I was a step-brother, but more importantly I am your brother in the LORD.

Christmas Day 2006- The Family- Rick, Lee, Robin and Kevin

Dear Vicky,
Thank you for the wonderful memorial service for a generous, warm-hearted, free-spirited, fun loving brother and brother-in-law.
We loved Rick very much and will greatly miss his presence at our family holiday get togethers. However, he will always be with us in mind and spirit and never ever be forgotten.
We hope you continue to live life to the fullest and you will always be welcome in our home. Please do take care of yourself and your family and don't ever hesitate to...

No words can be said to ease the pain, I can only hope that as time goes on the Memories you shared will over come the saddness and put a smile back on your face. Don't think of him as gone because as long as he is in your Heart and Memories, he will live on within you forever. Continue to hold your head high and live life the best way you can. That is what he would have wanted. He was a great man, and will be missed. HE is riding those clouds with Butch and one day we will all be together...

Although known by most as, "Rick," I knew him as, "Dad."

My Dad was such a bright and beautiful spirit...he was so friendly and charismatic...oh boy could he smile, laugh, and carry on a great conversation with anyone about anything. Everyone who met him loved him, and rightfully so.

If ever there was anyone who really knew how to have a good time and live life to its fullest, it was my Dad.

If ever there was anyone who was actually quite gifted intellectually and...

Vicki and Strait Family,

Vicky, the memorial service was beautiful and Rick would have been so honored that so many of his friends and family were there to remember him. It was exactly what he would have wanted. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help you through this time of need.

Vicki, I am so very sorry for you. I can only imagine how much you are missing Rick. I know having Val and the kids helps though. Please take care of yourself. Kirsten came by last weekend to share the news. I wish I could be at the memorial today but have work to do. Will think of you and yours and know that you have so much love around you that you will do fine. Take Care Mimi

Vicki,
We are so sorry for the loss of Rick. He was a good friend and employee for many years. His kind heart and big smile will be greatly missed.
Cherish the memories !
