Robert Evan Succop

Remembering him and Irene with fondness, especially our 1943 days together at Fort Monmouth NJ. He was my closest Army friend in those days. He had been my prized student in the Signal Corps Officer Candidate School and later my worthy tennis companion. He had a wonderful 1942 Ford convertible, but I loaned them my 1937 Ford club coupe while I was away in Oregon for maneuvers with the 96th Infantry Division. ~~~ I welcome e-mail at [email protected].

Just came across this. I had visited the cemetery recently and saw there wasn't an engraving date for Bob. A life well lived. I enjoyed both he and Irene's relationship. It was such an inspiration to me. I know they are dancing in heaven together! Praise God!

So sad to hear of Bob's passing. He and Irene were great neighbors, and I enjoyed our mailbox chats. Knowing he was always there was a comfort, and I will definitely miss him. May he rest in peace.

Nick and Bob enjoyed many lunches together as they shared their mutual love of history especially World War 11 stories and the good old days. We will miss his beautiful smile and his gentlemanly manner. He was a role model for many of us who knew and loved him. Our deepest sympathy to his family. Nick and Florence
