Not sure what to say?

Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.

I have many, many fond memories of Dr. Takacs. I remember his kind, patient words of encouragement and guidance when I was so desperately trying to get through golf class at UNO. To this day I can still hear his cues when I'm on the course. He was truly a treasure and a wonderful individual. May God's blessings and the peace of Christ be with you all at this difficult time.

Bobby,
My wife and I were sorry to learn of your dad's passing. We both graduated from UNO in H&PE and were fortunate to have had Tests and Measurements with your dad. I also remember starting St. Margaret Mary together in the 6th grade. Your family always had the time to have friends over to your house. Your dad always had a great sense of humor and made anyone he met feel at ease. I pray your mom and dad are happily reunited and are looking down upon their family. Our prayers are...

What wonderful memories I have of my years at UNO with Dr. Takacs. He was such a special person. UNO just isn't the same without him. I'll never forget our final exam for his golf class when he performed 20 swings. When he went over them afterward with the class, everyone had his "perfect swing" as a flat swing! He was so outdone that he went off to find his partner in crime, Dr. Akers. He did 5 swings and even Dr. Akers told him that his swing was flat! Of course, none of us ever let...

I was very saddened to hear of Bob's death. Bob hired me in 1982 and was a wonderful colleague at UNO all the years I worked with him. He was so happy when his daughter gave he and Judy grandchildren. Hopefully, there is a huge green, lush golf course up there somewhere, so he can play golf forever.

My talented and a great nephew amd will be missed and God
bless him.

I was also saddened to hear the passing of Dr. Bob Takacs. Bob was Chair when I began my began my academic career at UNO (1984). Bob and Judy Takacs were first class people---its sobering to know they are no longer with us.

Dr. Takacs was my undergraduate advisor at UNO from 1975-79. He was knowleable and understanding. Although it has been so many years since I have seen him or many of the UNO staff, I have always kept them in my thoughts. Dr. Tackacs' golf class, Lloyd Huval's gymnastic classes, Dale Hoffpauir's first aid class, Brian Scully's Annatomy & Physiology and Kinesiology classes, Thresa Smith's methods class, and even Ms. Silvestri teaching me how to dance to "Heatwave". Dr. Tackacs and Dr. Wilson...
