Robert James Tannhauser

Robert James Tannhauser, age 77, of Hoffman Estates, beloved husband of Barbara, nee Raz and the late Virginia, nee Doyle; loving father of Echo (Tom) McShane, Eric (Sue), Conrad, Kurt (Peggy) and Ward (Karen) Tannhauser; cherished grandfather of Derek, Erin, Cari, Michele, Andy, Danielle, Hans, Amy, Katie, Chris, Mackenzie, Reese, Riley; and great-grandfather of Devin; brother of Ron (Sharon) and the late Betty Homola; fond uncle of numerous nieces and nephews. Born April 25, 1928 in Chicago to the late Oscar and Lillian, he passed away August 5, in Hoffman Estates. Robert was a past president of the Kerry Blue Terrier Club of Chicago, a member of the Tailhook Association and devoted much of his time to many other clubs and organizations. Visitation will be held a Ahlgrim and Sons Funeral and Cremation Services, Tuesday, from 3 until time of services at 8 p.m. Interment will be private.
