I too remember "The Black" from his days at The Hilltop. I recall a column he wrote called "Did You Know." It was always full of interesting and important information. I was among those who followed in Robert's footsteps as a Hilltop writer and editor.

Robert was a truly gifted journalist who had no problem telling the truth even when it was not popular. I was at Howard when he was known as Robert "The Black" Taylor -- the award-winning editor of the Hilltop. The Hilltop has never had a better editor. I hooked up with him a few years ago as the Philadelphia correspondent to his National Black News Journal. Now, I know why I haven't heard from him in the past few months. SMH. May the Creator and the Ancestors bless and accept his soul. Job...
