Robert J. (Bob) Terry, retired paper industry executive, passed away in his Greenwood Village, CO home on February 9,2023 surrounded by family after a year-long battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 82 years old.
A Native Chicagoan, Bob graduated from DePaul University in 1963 with a degree in Commerce receiving accolades in both academics and in a career that spanned over 30 years. Bob and his family relocated numerous times throughout his career, eventually settling in Colorado as he accepted evermore challenging positions until retiring in as President and COO of one of the largest printing and paper converters in the US.
Bob loved sharing a joke or good story and though modest about his own achievements, he was known to remember and call out the achievements of others long after people thought they had gone unnoticed. He cherished his friends who would become family and his family who would become friends. His wife, Lisa, believes he spoiled her and often called him, "the best husband". He loved all sports but mostly baseball and golf often telling his kids stories of growing up in downtown Chicago, climbing the fences of Wrigley Field to catch a few innings of a Cubs game on his way to or from a class or a shift at work.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Elizabeth (Lisa) Terry, his children, Holly Krivjansky (Rick), Michelle Terry, Stephen Terry (Dirinda), and grandson, Lucas Krivjansky.
A private mass was held on Friday, February 24th at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Englewood, CO. A larger Celebration of Life is scheduled for later in May.
Bob was a generous and active supporter of T.A.P.S (Tragedy Assistance Programs for Survivors) supporting family of fallen military personnel and and the Denver Rescue Mission. He was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Englewood, CO. Any donations can made in his name in lieu of flowers.
