Our deepest condolences, Mary Lou. Bob was a gentleman. He set positive examples as a teacher, coach and athletic director. He was supportive of others´ efforts. The Olmsted Falls School District benefitted highly from his leadership. We are glad to have known him and worked with him.

I was very lucky to have been raised in Olmsted Falls. I was blessed to have been mentored by three very special men in my life. Along with Bob Venefra, Glenn Apple and Bob Theiss, I can not think of anyone else who impacted my life more. As a student athlete I was fortunate to have been coached in basketball and baseball by Coach Theiss. I returned to teach at OFHS with those special mentors after college. Coach Bob Theiss was a tremendous influence on my life. Luckily, I got to meet with him and Jim Burns and Glenn Apple, my three high school basketball coaches, in 2017 on the day of my Olmsted Falls Class of 1967 50 year reunion. It was great reminiscing about the old basketball days and how they have done ever since.
