Robert Eugene Thomas Jr., 39, a resident for 19 years of Reading, Massachusetts, a truck driver for Moynihan Lumber in North Reading, died on Saturday, October 14, 2000, following a courageous battle with lung cancer. Visiting hours are scheduled for Tuesday, October 17, 2000, 4-8 p.m., at Douglass Funeral Home, 25 Sanborn Street (corner of Sanborn and Woburn Street), Reading. Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services on Wednesday, October 18, at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Wood End Cemetery, Reading. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Robert's memory to Winchester Hospital Hematology/Oncology Center, Baldwin Park II, 7 Alfred Street, Woburn, MA 01801.
