Not sure what to say?

I was 10 when Bobby hit "The Shot heard around the world". After that season Bobby drove to Cleveland, Ohio to visit his sister Ruby. It just so happens hat she lived next door to me. My mom called the Plain Dealer, our local paper and asked " Who is the happiest person in Cleveland"? They were dumbfounded until she told them that it was Bobby Thomson' sister. After the season I actually got to meet Bobby and even played catch with him in the street.. At the time I never thought of asking...

Nancy and Megan--

I met your father when he came to Richmond, Virginia for a signing in about 1984. I met you Dad at the airport and shuttled him to and from the show and spent the day with him.

I consider meeting Bobby Thomson one of life's greatest pleasures. He was very approachable, gracious and pleasant throughout our time together. He offered to sign extra material for me but I most remember him as a generous man who obviously was very family oriented. I remember he...

Hello Nancy:
I will always remember fishing at the pond with Bobby, Hen, and my grandfather. To this day I'm still wondering how the fish ever got in that pond. Bobby was my hero growing in North Plainfield.

Family of Bobby Thomson,
He was my favorite Giant from his debut, probably because I'd read a fine short story about a young Scottish lad who proudly defended his kilt & his homeland! He opened 1947 at 2nd base (??) before roaming the huge Polo Grounds CF turf.I was 9... my first visit that year, the Jints won 5-1, Larry Jansen pitched, & "The Flying Scot" & Johnny Mize hit HR's.For the '51 playoffs, I was attending a Jesuit prep in Jersey City, so listened on radio...

Dear Nancy,
A babysitters voice from the past. 1950'S, when we were neighbors on Butternut Lane, Northbrook Illinois. I was a freshman then at Glenbrook North. I remember the first time I babysat for you, your mom walked me into the kitchen, and showed me two black speakers hanging on the walls, as she showed me where the snacks were. She told me to listen to the Cubs baseball game that was being broadcast over the radio. She was on her way to the game....

As a classmate of Bobby's I have many fond memories of our days at Curtis. On that historic day I was listening to it on the radio. I said "If you ever did it Bobby, do it now." What a wonderful legasy. George {Bud} MacDuffie

I was fortunate to have grown up in Watchung having Bobby Thomson's daughter, Nancy, as my best friend. This meant spending lots of time in their home - enjoying dinners, sleepovers and numerous visits to their summer beach home, as well. . . . and, all along "Bobby" was known to me as "Mr. Thomson" - Nancy's Dad - a regular guy and family man - - - never really giving it much thought that I was in the company of a famous man . . . a true testimony to his humble and modest nature . .

Always the Gentleman. I'll always remember when you were in Phoenix for an old timers game. You posed for pictures with my two children and shook all of our hands. Thank you for so many great memories. Buck Bahm

I remember my daddy being a great fan of baseball, The Shot Heard Around the World and Bobby Thomson. How wonderful it was for me to personally meet Mr. Thomson three years ago. Not only did I get to meet this wonderful man, but I was able to be of service to him through my position as The Island Club Concierge at The Marshes of Skidaway in Savannah, GA, where he lived. He was a joy to talk with and was always pleasant. Bobby Thomson, baseball great and...the ultimate gentleman. I will...
