Not sure what to say?

I remember you and your lovely wife during my time with Girl Scouts. It was a privilege to meet and work with you both. Thank you.

Dear EllaMary and family,
Please accept my condolences on your loss. Bob and EllaMary both were such an inspiration to me during my tenure at the Franciscan Foundation, where you were the catalyst to grow the employee scholarship program. I've taken that inspiration to my current employer, where we have just announced a new employee scholarship program. As I've worked on this project, I've heard Bob's voice in the back of my mind saying, "How big an endowment do you need to fully fund...

Ella Mary & Kit, So sorry for your loss. Robert's smile was such a wonderful view when we had a problem that we were able to resolve. He is going to miss by 100's.

Ella Mary and Kit, I am so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. My heart goes out to you and the family at this sad time. Your husband/father was a darling, caring man. What I loved best about him was his way of listening -- really listening. He already is greatly missed.

To all the Thorpe family - We treasure the time we shared with both Bob and Ella Mary since we joined them as "their sailing partners" in 2005! We have been privileged beyond compare to have had so many good times traveling and visiting with them. We have met many of you at gatherings in Gig Harbor and know what a wonderful father, grandfather, great grandfather and uncle he was. It is so true that everyone who met him, even briefly, felt his gentle strength and compassion. Our prayers...

For all the Thorpe family - Bob's wonderful work for Girl Scouts was always an inspiration for me during my time with the organization. He was a gentle giant among us all and I will always treasure the gift of knowing him.

Dear Kit, Mrs. Thorpe and family,
I'm so sorry to hear of Mr. Thorpe's passing and wish you peace and comfort in the days to come. Mr. Thorpe exuded a kindness and intellect that struck me immediately upon meeting him. He did so much for our community, not the least of which was sharing his values and strong support with you. Please accept my deepest condolences.
