Ella Mary and Kit, I am so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. My heart goes out to you and the family at this sad time. Your husband/father was a darling, caring man. What I loved best about him was his way of listening -- really listening. He already is greatly missed.

To all the Thorpe family - We treasure the time we shared with both Bob and Ella Mary since we joined them as "their sailing partners" in 2005! We have been privileged beyond compare to have had so many good times traveling and visiting with them. We have met many of you at gatherings in Gig Harbor and know what a wonderful father, grandfather, great grandfather and uncle he was. It is so true that everyone who met him, even briefly, felt his gentle strength and compassion. Our prayers...
