Robert Leroy "Bob" Thorpe

My family knew Bob when he managed the home we rented across the street from him and Bernice. Bob asked if I wanted to work with him on some houses so we worked on a few around Santa Rosa and I learned a lot from him. One time I even took a trip with them to Halfmoon Bay to paint some offices in their motor home. They were really good people. I can still hear Mr. Thorp's voice. Bless you and your family

Every day on my daily trip to the Post Office I'd see Bob & George walking down Geary Street in Walnut Creek, near the Kensington where he lived. I was fascinated by this elder and his adorable dog. One day I stopped..."Who are you? What is your story?"
