Bob was my first supervisor when I reported for duty as a seasonal ranger back in the ye olden days of the previous century, 1973 to be exact. We hit it of due to a number of shared eccentricities and a sense of the absurd. Over the years our friendship grew. I worked with him at Redwood, and attended his retirement party. I ended up at Grand Canyon which was where Bob started his Park Service career. A fact not mentioned in the obit. I also became somewhat miffed at the fact that as a twenty...

I was so lucky to be married to this man. His children are remarkable. He had such a wonderful sense of humor. My children adored him. His sons are gifted and very much like him. We miss him very much. My heart goes out to Tristan, Chris, Jim, Mackenzie, Diego, Dalia, and Jenna. There is so much to say about him yet currently I am at a loss for words. I think the world of the Todds and feel honored to have been married to Bob.

Bob was truly a gentleman, a scholar and a great and generous guy. You will be missed!
