Not sure what to say?

Not a day goes where I don't think about you. This weekend we laid your ashes to rest, next to Gram. I love you with all of my heart and soul.

Bob Toepfer leaves footprints in our hearts. He saw, gave, laughed and cared with utmost grace. God bless him and all his family of whom he was so lovingly proud. God has blessed us for letting us know him.

Much to my surprise, I just learned of Bob's passing. Bob was so very beloved by our family over many decades, and for those of us a generation his junior, he was a treasured friend, mentor, counselor and historian. I still hear the echoes of his warm and vibrant voice. Bob will be deeply missed.

Bob was a friend and advisor to three generations of our extended family over more than a half century.

Words cannot describe the man in full, but some that apply are: intellect, wit, wisdom, charm, loyalty, curiosity, humor and generosity.

He left the world a better place than he found it.

The Family of Allen and Louise Holmes send their condolences to the entire Toepfer Family/close friends. Louise and Bob were friends from High School and Allen joined in that friendship when they all attended the University of Cincinnati; that friendship and mutual admiration blossomed over the many decades of Bob and Allen practicing law together at Jones Day. We will all remember with fondness Bob's keen intellect and broad smile. May we all live up to his great character.

Bob was among the finest men I've ever known. I'm proud to have had the honor to know him as my client and friend for so many years. I will miss our annual lunch [which he would never let me pay for!] but more,I'll miss that genial smile, quick wit and enlightening conversation I could always expect. I'm not ashamed to say I loved the man...

It can be so hard to face the first year without your loved one, but the love of family and friends can carry you through.

He took me under his wing in 1979 at Jones Day Reavis & Pogue and changed the entire course of my life. He was the finest man I've ever known and I am so, so devastated for myself and his enormous loving family and circle of friends. Bob, you now know all the secrets of the universe we always discussed, Rest in peace my dear sweet friend.

It was a honor to know your father and mother and they will be missed. They were great neighbors and friends. Penny and Bob Tarkany
