Not sure what to say?

Thank you, oncle Bob ( as our then 2,5 years old son Mårten called you) for making our three month stay in St Louis 1993 so much better. We still talk about you often and remember you with great fondnes. Helena Palmgren, Mikael and Mårten Sandlund, Umeå, Sweden

Dear Judy: There is no week that goes by that I don't think of Bob or still after 10 years want to call him. We lost a dear friend and colleague who was sweet, knowledgeable, humble, who enjoyed every minute of life and loved you. His uplifting smile, words of wisdom are and will always be with me. He will be missed and remembered forever. Parvin Alizadeh

My daughter was Dr Tolan´s patient in 2001. She was only a few days old. She is graduating college this year. You never forget the heroes.

To the Tolan family: I was Bob's choir teacher at Taylor HS in Kokomo, IN and still have fond memories of him in my mixed choir, show choir and barbershop quartet. He was an exceptional person and musician. He will always be remembered as one of my favorite students, a wonderful doctor and a great human being.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

There are very few people that we cross paths with in this short life that leave a warm happy feeling every time you meet them or even think of them. Robert was one of those people, always smiling and had a nice word to say for everyone. He made you feel good about yourself and always willing to lend a hand. A physician that was a resource to everyone and a genius in his own way. We miss you Robert, rest in peace.

Judy there is alot for me to say about Bob that puts him where he is now. I think way to soon for him to be gone. I told him I was so glad he was married to you and he replyed Not as glad as I am. He truly truly loved you with all his heart. He loved your family of many.I feel I lost a very good friend and am already missing him. My prayers of many are with you and I have cried for you and your loss.
Love you so much dear Sister Donna

Dear Judy and the Tolan family,

I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Dr. Tolan at St Peter's, many years ago. He was a very wonderful and caring doctor. My prayers are with you.

Dear Judy and Family,

We are deeply saddened to hear of your loss. Such a great, compassionate, and brilliant man. He was always smiling and no matter how busy he was he would take the time to say hello. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. He is an Angel in Heaven watching over you.
