Robert Eberhardt "Bob" Trappe

Inspiring Mr. Trappe, was my beloved 6th and 8th grade teacher at Hosford Elementary when it was a K - 8 school. He encouraged creativity, group work, group presentations and notebooks. He was one of the first to introduce hands-on science experiments. Instead of just reading about science projects we worked in groups to present sub-topics and do experiments. Each student was responsible for producing a comprehensive notebook on the subject as well. He was tall, handsome, fit and kind. ...

Bob was a fellow retiree from TOC. Bob was a delight to all. I will miss seeing his welcoming smile. to all the family.

I was sorry to learn of Bob's passing. Since my parents are both gone, I have lost track of many shirttail relatives. Irene Trappe was (I believe) a first cousin to my dad, Harold Bauer. I remember many family picnics at Blue Lake. I believe Bob was one of the Pinochle gang who played with my mom and dad.
