I only knew Bob for a few months. We met at the Leisure World activities center for a table tennis match. I hadn't played since I was a kid, but Bob appeared at first glance to have lost a step or two so I planned to take it easy on the old gentleman. Was I in for a shock!! Bob proceeded to teach me a quick lesson in humility. And to my mind he appeared to show little sympathy, as if to say "Is that all you have?" I'll never forget that lesson.
