Bob was simply the best!!! I will miss him greatly....Steve Braun

Thank you for always being there. You were so positive. You were real.

In 1976 Bob married Pete and me. Maggi provided the perfect musical accompaniment. As was their custom then (and perhaps later as well?), a typed copy of the service itself and (by Maggi), a handwritten list of music played. They are treasured mementos along with photos from the day. Our days at FCC Houston were richly foundational for our spiritual journeys and full of fond memories of the Tuckers.

Bob and I grew closer after I relocated to San Antonio. My lab commitment brought me to Houston once a month and I usually found time to visit with Bob and Maggie over dinner. We always had good conversations and we were both happy to see each other. One of Bob's gifts as a minister is that he did not wait for us to come to us; he sought us to stay in touch, usually over a quick lunch. He really did enjoy visiting with people. He was a very good friend, as is Maggie. In all the years I've...

My deep sympathies and condolences to Maggi and family. Bob was a wonderful and relatable pastor. His sermons were so brilliant that on Sunday mornings I used to run from my car to the church so I wouldn't miss a moment of the service. To me, he was the ultimate pastor to whom all other clergy were compared . . . and fell short of. His wife, Maggi, the brilliant, generous-hearted minister/director of music, similarly was the golden measuring stick in her position. When they retired from FCC...

Bob was a good man and a gifted pastor. I am thankful our paths crossed, and for the way he helped me find my work. I was director of religious education at FCC for a short time, and I was ordained there in 1993. He was a light bearer me and many others and I know the light still shines.

Thank you Bob for your wisdom and guidance in my formative years. You definitely helped shape me into the strong woman I am today.

Bob was a wonderful and accomplished fellow..I loved him very much and though he will be very missed I rejoice in his promotion to glory. -- PKW
