Robert L. "Bob" Tunstall

I told Bob just days before his passing how much it meant to me almost 20 years ago to have him, a high ranking Union Official take time to be so supportive of me; the new kid on the Union block. A kid from a small town in Idaho who knew nothing about our contract but was willing to learn.

During my 16 years as a state officer, Bob always took time at every convention to stop, chat and encourage me. I will never forget Bob for his kindness, his sense of humor, his intellect.

Very few times in your life you come to know someone like Bob Tunstall. He worked for all members of the American Postal Workers Union. I called Bob on Tuesday before his passing and he wanted to know what I remember the most about him. For us in the Northwest we were able to us his hotel suites at the different National Conventions for our hospitality room.
