Robert Van Dusen

I was trying to remember who my 4th grade teacher was at Rolando Park. I remembered most of my teachers but third and fourth ('62-'64) grade was spotty in my recollection. It appears that Mr Van Dusen was 4th Grade, yet I remember a woman teacher asking the class to join together in silent prayer the morning we found out JFK was assassinated. Mr. Van Dusen was my 4th grade teacher at Rolando Park Elementary for the 1961-1962 school year. I remember being nervous about being assigned to a male teacher for the first time, but Mr. Van Dusen was so kind and soft spoken in addition to being a very good teacher. Fond memories and I'm glad he had a long, full, life.

I had Mr. Van Dusen as my 4th grade teacher at Rolando Park 1960-1961. Many fond memories. He was my favorite teacher ever!!
