VAN HOUTEN, Robert Robert Joseph "Bobby" Van Houten passed away on June 26, 2014 after a year-long battle with cancer. He was born in Rome, Georgia on March 12, 1945. His family moved to Decatur when he was two years old, where he grew up and graduated from St. Pius X High School, class of 1963....

It seems impossible that it's coming up on a year since Bobby's passing. I love this picture of him. His heart and soul, his sense of humor, his intense spirit are all captured there. He continues to touch my heart. Although over the months our contact has waned, Anita, I want you to know how often I think of you, and each time I do I offer a prayer, hoping you are doing well. We will always miss Bobby, bur certainly no one more than you. Sending love and prayers.

Mrs. Van Houten, I am truly sorry to hear of your loss. I only had the oppurtunity to speak/meet with your husband a few times, but I could tell he was a very kind man. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
