Not sure what to say?

Bob, thank you for being the man you were!

Bob was a fine man and a brilliant attorney. His expertise and friendship were invaluable to me. RIP Bob.

I still miss this brilliant good man.

I just read about Bob's passing. I am so sorry to hear this. I had the honor of teaching with him and learning from him at countless NITA programs. He was a great, great attorney and a better person.

The NITA crowd and Vanderlaan family gather in Chicago tomorrow to rejoice in Bob, tell some stories, sing some songs, and weep a bit while we honor him together. Thank you everyone for gathering! Thank you, Dan and Jon and the crew initiating it all. We love you as we love Bob.

Coach Bobby V was my favorite coach of all time. He was rough on the edges when you first met him and he expected a lot. But once you showed him you cared and you were tenacious, he wanted nothing more than to help you be the best you could be. His support and encouragement in all aspects of my high school career helped me go far. He will be dearly missed. Love you, Coach.

I was so sad to learn of Bob's passing away, and sorry that Patty and I missed the visitation and funeral. He was a good man and will be missed. God bless,

Paul Glovick

I had the pleasure of teaching several NITA courses with Bob. He was such fun to work with and such a great teacher. I will cherish the wonderful memories from those times. My heart goes out to his family - he spoke of you often and loved you all dearly. He will be dearly missed.

Bob was a brilliant attorney and a kind man. I'll miss his laugh and sense of humor. I send my sincerest condolences to his family and friends.
