Not sure what to say?

Though I did not know Bob, Paul Brickey often spoke highly of him whenever I visited Marietta. My condolences to Bob's wife, and to Paul and Bonnie Brickey, and all those who loved Bob. Sorry for your loss.

Bob was my first friend in life. We met at age 5 and were inseparable for the next 15 years. He was the least judgmental, most generous person I've ever known. We grew up in what we thought was a very ordinary time in a very ordinary neighborhood, with very ordinary friends. My conclusion, after spending the weekend with many of these folks gathered for Bob's memorial, is that the time and the place may well have been ordinary, but the people were very special. Fifty something years after we...

I moved from Ocala, Florida in January 1968 to transfer to UGA. I got married to a Georgia Girl on September 5, 1969. We could not afford a honeymoon, so we went to Athens two weeks before classes began. Bob Veatch was my neighbor in a small quadraplex apartment. We found that we had much in common and he has been one of my very best friends since. Although he has moved around the world a lot, we were always willing to make the trip to see each other, whether it was from Mississippi State...

Our thoughts and prayers are with Bob's family and friends.

Being with my husband was the greatest gift life has offered me. Bob took me around the world. He filled my heart with love. He taught me patience, tolerance ,and perseverance and he gave me strength to get through lifes' trials and tribulations. I feel the power of his love surround me as I face the days ahead in hope that he would be proud of his handiwork as he smiles down on all of us from the Heavens. I thank each of you for your rememberances and I know he would too.

Bob was a dear friend and even served in our wedding. Unfortunately we didn't see enough of each other. Our thoughts and prayers are with Donna and the rest of the family. It's good to know Bob can finally breath easily.

My deepest thoughts and prayers are with you, sincerely, Mike Horne

Bob Veatch was my good friend throughout Garden Hills Elementary and North Fulton High School. I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to Bob’s family and share a few memories.

Bob, John Huey, and I were inseparable from first grade until we graduated and Bob and John went to UGA and I went to FSU. The three of us were together in Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, and Explorers, each of us achieving Eagle Scout together. We routinely did weekend wilderness camping and during the...

Please accept my deepest sympathies.
