Not sure what to say?

Dr. Vetto, you are one of our heroes! Thank you so much!

My 5yr General Surgery Residency at OHSU included rotations at the PVAH as a first year resident and as a chief resident. Dr Vetto was a bigger than life surgical icon among a surgical faculty that contained several other excellent surgeons and great teachers. He had very high performance standards for himself and he expected nothing less from
his residents. He was a master diagnostician, a superb surgical technician and an excellent teacher. We made rounds on all of the surgical...

We honor Dr Mark Vetto's legacy. He was a caring person who contributed much in his career as a physician and was devoted to his family and community. Heartfelt condolences to Marianne especially, beloved wife of 69 years. It is impressive that all of the Vetto children also contribute so much to the common good. Blessings to you all. Treasure the good memories and be consoled knowing Mark now possesses the Beatific Vision for eternity. Emma & George Steen family

Dr. Vetto was an excellent physician, a wonderful teacher and a great friend. He was an inspiration to our profession.

I am glad I had the opportunity to meet your father at Gretchen's wedding. He had such a wonderful life and such a loving family. I am so sorry for your loss.

Reading Robert's obituary I realize what a remarkable model he was for his children, especially the one I know best, John - a dear friend who was so kind to me 47 years ago when my father passed. My thoughts are with you, John, and our whole family.

Dr. Vetto was the reason we came back to Oregon to work. He was a master surgeon and a great friend. He has a wonderful family and he will be missed by many. Rich Yeager M.D. and Patsy

Tom and I were pleased to be living near Dr. Vetto the past two years and have the opportunity to visit with him and reminisce. He will be missed by us and our children, Mark Joseph Vetto and Anne Patricia Vetto.

Nora Martin Vetto (daughter-in-law).
