I just heard of Bobbys passing.I met Bobby when they were just starting out. Then, it was Bobby, Jackie and Tony. They played the summer fairs and the Friday night canteen. We were all so lucky to be a part of it all. R&R and and the memories. Sometime Bobby would let Charlie( BONES ) Johnson on the stage. I loved Bobby Or Robby(known by both names to me) as my own brother.
I was a fan in his early years as Bobby And The Rhythm Rockers entertaing us at the Country House every Thursday Nite and at the local Pubs along the Conn and New York border.I than managed Robby as he went on to greater heights,I won't miss him because he'll always been in my heart and thoughts. Bobby was my 'first crush'..my cousin Rick Accurso who lived behind him in Byram was a band member in the beginning and they practiced in our cellar on View St..Rick passed 2 yrs ago..sorry to hear of Bobby's passing but pleased to read about his life accomplishments..sincerely, Toni Panker Surman
