I was shocked to hear the sad news. Bob & Toni were just here in Oregon for a visit in June. I lay claim to being his
2nd mom since he was in high school. He hung around our house and our veterinary clinic , wanting to be a veterinarian. A few years back, he and a friend rode their cycles from the East coast to the West coast for a visit.
A sincere Hug to all the family he loved so much. He was such a beautiful person and will always be a part of our family.

I just found out about Bob's passing so I apologize for the late reply. Bob was one of those customers here at Hermy's BMW that you were ALWAYS happy to see walk through the door. He was an enthusiastic motorcyclist and loved riding - one discussion with him about bikes and that enthusiasm bubbled out right over the top. Warm Greetings, All.
Bob and I flew together as first tour pilots in HMM - 262 at Kaneohe Bay. This was Bobs first deployment and my third to the Western Pacific and Indian Ocean.
I gave Bob what experience I had to offer at that time. Later in life Bob shared the wisdom he gained from a fruitful career in the Marine Corps and the corporate world.
I got much more than I gave.
We should all remember to pay it forward.

Bob (Sasquatch) and I flew together at HMM-262 and as instructors at VT-10. We shared the cockpit, ready rooms, liberty, and OClub stools. The skills he brought to every unit could only be outweighed by the smiles and laughter he created with his unique personality. I will miss him greatly and send my prayers to all his family.
